I stan one (1) plant
Dec. 15th, 2018 05:58 pmI have a bunch of plants of varying types around the house and some of them like winter better than others. With almost all of them you can tell that they're just biding their time now until March. And there's the November Bush who is just "TIS THE SEASON BITCHES" with all of its incredible fuschia blooms. And I love them all equally. They all do what they do as nature does.
But I have a special corner in my heart for the big pot on the porch where a seed from Outside settled a couple of years ago at random and has just been Growing. In every season, every weather, it just grows. It does not care. It barely noticed when my housesitter forgot to water it for two weeks. Night frost in December? Psshhh. Heat wave in August? It got this. Right now, with winter finally setting in, it's blooming in a bunch of graceful little white flowers, ripening into dark little ball-bearing fruit. It is a Wild Seed from the Outside. It fears nothing and no one.
I don't play favourites, but it is my favourite for today.
