Holly poly 2023 exchange letter!

My general likes and DNWs are all in the AO3 signup. For poly shipping specifically, the most important thing to me is that all three characters be into each other on some level - don't like a V. I do however very much like poly ships that start with two characters finding profound connection through their love for a third: my most favouritest configuration is one larger than life person and two more down to earth people who bond over loving them. Also very fond of established couples both falling in love with a third and collaborating in acting on it. Also also love just 3+ people having a good time together without making anything official and friendgroups-with-benefits.
Please no lengthy negotiations of relationship logistics and no jealousy - poly fic is my "what if we could just cut through the romantic tension and all be together" happy place (I do make some fandom specific exceptions, see below!)
Other things to know: I am more a plot/action person than a smut person, so if you are at all inclined would prefer there to be some Happenings in the story. OW-wise I much prefer historical or secondary world settings but am open to just about anything that fits the dynamics requested. I love intense but ambiguous relationships where a lot of emotions are tangled together and it's hard to put a clear label on things, and also love all sorts of culturally sanctioned alternative romantic arrangements eg sedoretus.
Fandom-Specific!
Black Sails: This is my rare exception fandom where I'm more than happy for fic to lean into the tensions and relationship negotiations and every possible configuration of friends to lovers. Love me some extreme protectiveness, characters who aren't sure who they are apart from other characters, and defiant decisions to claim one's happiness in a hostile world. Also love me some incredibly violent Anne and some poetically pathetic Jack, Silver dismantling Flint and paying exorbitant prices, and Madi exercising power like she was born to.
Star Trek: I am here for the 23rd century being a free love paradise but also for highly capable professionals catching feelings but also for a bold exploratory attitude toward possibilities in relationships. La'an and Ortegas are my main girls that I would enjoy seeing absolutely showered in love and good things but generally I just want the women of this crew to be good to and with each other. Super bonus for use of funky medical tech and/or Ilyrian augmentation in sex.
Original works: My main interest and attraction here is to complex power relations and power play mixed with hard-earned loyalty and admiration. For my sins I really kink on scenarios in which competent and hardworking people in power work themselves to the bone and earn being protected and coddled by their subordinates, especially if this is a practiced routine the subordinates themselves enjoy perfecting. I also like when it isn't entirely clear who has the power within a situation or relationship and when the characters themselves are aware of this and get a kick out of it. Perhaps that would spark some ideas!
