Hey so does anyone else find Thirteen's run so far really reminiscent of the Tom Baker/Robert Holmes stories, early in the run? There's something about the tone, the way it's quite dark and realistic but also emotional, this kind of subtle intensity. I don't know if Thirteen reminds me of Baker really, but the way she's playing down previous Nu!Doctors' rockstar weird (and what I often felt was performative moralizing, if we're gonna have a proper wanky convo starter) for a more awkward weird with a side of very intense devotion to justice, that feels pretty early Four. idk it's been a while since I've seen those serials but that's the vibe I'm getting.
Oh and I love it just in case you're wondering. I love it to pieces.
